Julie was personally affected by the transplant center at Northwestern Medicine when her husband needed a transplant over 10 years ago. After her and her husband’s experience with Northwestern Medicine, Julie says that the team members at the hospital are her heroes.
“I want to increase organ donor awareness and improve education so that no one has to wait for an organ if they need one,” Julie has said. She is dedicated to helping NMTAC raise funds to make this dream a reality. Julie believes in the hard work and research that is being done at Northwestern Medicine and hopes to help facilitate future successes through the fundraising efforts she is involved in with NMTAC.
Organ donation is so very important and so easy. It requires almost no effort to sign up, and I’m excited to help spread that message around.
