Jeffrey D. Crane is the President of Crane Construction Company LLC, a nationwide general contractor that builds multifamily residential homes, offices, restaurants, and other retail projects. In addition to his duties as President, Jeff is also involved in real estate development and the management of the company’s properties. He began his career by earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Masters in Management from Northwestern University.
Jeff is a longtime resident of the area and has been very involved in the professional community of Chicago. He has served as president of the Builders Association of Chicago, founder and board member of the Center for Enriched Living, board member of the Young Men’s Jewish Council, president of the North Western Gridiron Network, and board member of the Construction Industry Service Committee. Currently, Jeff is chairman of NuLives, an organization that helps raise funds for hepatology research.
Jeff became involved with NMTAC after receiving a successful liver transplant through the Northwestern Medicine Comprehensive Transplant Center. He uses his professional acumen and experiences in management to help further the fundraising goals of NMTAC and thereby support transplant research.
I’ve chosen to help raise funds for NMTAC both to support hepatology research and to provide assistance to transplant patients and their families,” Jeff has said. Having been through the transplant experience himself, Jeff knows just how much Northwestern Medicine’s transplant center has to offer to patients and their families. He also understands what can be improved in the transplant process by means further research into patient care, new medical methodologies, and pharmaceutical treatments. “I am grateful for the transplant I received. It has allowed me to continue enjoying life with my family friends. Through NMTAC, I hope to help more people find similar transplant success.
