“I received my transplant at Northwestern on June 19, 2015. The donor was my youngest stepson. I live in Pennsylvania and came to Northwestern to do the stem cell clinical trial initially. I have had an outstanding – could not be more pleased with – experience at Northwestern from starting the process (and trying to do the clinical trial with stem cells) through the actual transplant and through the follow-up. Everyone has acted consistent with the motto “Patients First”, and as the patient I have truly felt that way always. Eternally grateful.”
